Moving Company Empty-Room Photos: Isolate the Space, Leave the Boxes Out
Cut leftover cartons and tape rolls off a phone still for Google and Instagram. Keep the walls honest — this is turnover cleanup, not a staged loft.

The Google tile still shows the last carton
Clients on Google, Instagram, and Nextdoor decide in a swipe whether your crew left the place empty. A stray tape gun, a pile of flattened boxes, or a dolly in the doorway loses that swipe. A styled shoot after every job is ideal; most crews shoot with a phone before locking up. The job is to isolate the empty room you actually finished — not to invent furniture that was never there, not to hide wall damage you will get a call about, and not to tour every cleanup tool. Real-estate MLS heroes and hotel seasonal swaps are different honesty problems; this page is a moving-company after shot.
Cut the leftover gear; keep the walls
Upload the sharpest wide still. Run background removal when cartons, pads, or a truck bumper steal the edge of the frame. Inspect floorboards, baseboards, and window edges at 100%. Swap only the distracting pile to a calm floor or wall tone that matches the rest of the room — not a CGI loft. If a handwritten job number or "DONE" stamp sits on the frame, that is a text pass after isolation. Do not paint out a scuff you left. Do not clone a second window.
Square grid versus Google cover
Instagram favors square and 4:5. Google Business covers are wider. Export both from the same still. Uploads here accept JPG, PNG, WebP, or AVIF up to 10MB and 6000×6000 px. A 2400 px JPEG under 4MB typically returns in under 60 seconds. Export at least 1080 px on the short edge. Skip motion-blurred walk-outs. Skip 400 px WhatsApp forwards from a helper.
Rights and the walk-through
Only post rooms the client cleared for marketing, or crop so addresses and mail are not readable. Isolation of a carton pile is presentation. Inventing a painted wall is a dispute. Name files `job-142-empty-clean.jpg` versus `job-142-empty-as-shot.jpg`. Keep the release in the same dated folder as the live JPEG. Letter service areas in the caption, not on the floor, so a territory change does not force another reconstruction.
When the inquiry inbox is open and the hero still shows last job's tape rolls, isolate the empty room you left, keep the walls honest, and publish a square that matches the keys you handed back.
