What counts as an emoji or sticker

Use emoji removal for decorative overlays: iOS/Android emoji, reaction stickers, story GIFs flattened into a still, and “pill” badges with a round icon. Burned-in letters (a date, a price, a handle typed as text) belong on text removal. A brand logo in the corner belongs on watermark removal. Mixing those jobs is why a selfie still shows a yellow blob or a smeared @handle after one pass.

Upload JPG, PNG, WebP, or AVIF up to 10MB, 6000×6000 px. A typical 1080 px screenshot under 2MB usually returns in under 60 seconds. Zoom the compare slider at 100% on skin, hair, and fabric where the sticker sat. You want the original grain, not a plastic patch. If the sticker covered an eye or a product label, stop — reconstruction cannot invent that detail.

Stories, Depop try-ons, and Discord screenshots

Story exports often stack three stickers plus a location chip. Auto first so the model sees the cluster, then inspect each former sticker. Leftovers sit on high-frequency texture (hair, knit, brick). Paint those in Manual. For reseller try-on selfies, clear the emoji before you crop for Depop or Poshmark; platforms compress hard, and a leftover blob becomes a JPEG smear. Discord and iMessage screenshots add UI chrome around the sticker — paint the sticker, not the whole chat unless you intend to publish a blank bubble.

Limits and when a reshoot is cheaper

Hard limits: 10MB, 6000×6000, JPG/PNG/WebP/AVIF. Only edit photos you took or that the person in frame cleared for reuse. Clearing your own Camera Roll is normal. Lifting someone else’s stickered meme to strip their mark is not. Skip the tool when the only copy is a 400 px WhatsApp forward, when stickers cover most of a face, or when the overlay is a live photo/GIF — upload a still. Then download HD. If you need a new backdrop after the stickers are gone, finish emoji removal first, then background removal.

What if the sticker covered a face?

If the overlay hid an eye, mouth, or a product label, reconstruction will invent pixels. Use a frame where the sticker missed those details, or reshoot. Do not run extra auto passes hoping for a real face.
